Measurement while drilling – SureShot™ MWD System MWD Tools / Surface System Hardware

We deliver accurate directional azimuth, inclination, and toolface data in all drilling environments from routine to extreme. Our tool uses accelerometers and magnetometers to measure the inclination and azimuth of the wellbore at that location, and then transmit that information to the surface by using mud pulse telemetry system.

In combination with directional surveys, we offer at the same time the Gamma Ray data and Resistivity data to characterize the rock or sediment in a borehole.

  • SureShot – MP (Mud Pulse transmitter)
  • SureShot – EM (ElectroMagnetic Telemetry)
  • SureShot – DDS (Digital Directional Sensor) Inclination & Azimuth
  • SureShot – Gamma (Natural Gamma Sensor)
  • SureShot – PWD (Pressure While Drilling Sensor)
  • SureShot – VMM (Vibration Memory Module Sensor)

SureShot™ - Battery and Turbine Alternator

  • Power can be provided by Lithium batteries and also by APS’ Turbine alternator giving three options:

  • Lithium batteries can be supplied for three different temperature ratings; 150 C, 165 C and 180 C

  • Turbine Alternator is rated to 175 C

  • Turbine Alternator can be run independent or together with Lithium Batteries

  • Advantages of Turbine Alternator

    o No battery disposal issues
o Good when transmitting at higher data rates ie for LWD RSS BHA
    o Increases Safety
